Having a new baby is a total sensory experience. I can't stop looking at Fuzzy! From his pointy head (from his papa) to his long skinny toes ( also from Ry)... I want to memorize every part of him. He has sweet fuzzy ears, white lashes and eyebrows, beautiful blue eyes, long fingers, a cute round belly and an "outie" belly button! I love how his dark hair curls when it is wet, and his precious dream smiles. I could stare at him forever.
Gotta love that new baby smell! He just smells SO good! It is amazing how the sense of smell is so powerful. I have heard so many moms comment about how their babies smell right after delivery, and it is so true! Birth is such a primal, organic experience, and how awesome is it that our senses can help bond us so close together.
If I could, I would never put him down. I love to rub his fuzzy hair, hold his pecious hands, feel the softness of his skin. When Fuzzy was born, I did immediate skin to skin. What an awesome experience!! My nurse Lisa, (who was FANTASTIC!!) and the Nursery Nurses, said they had never seen someone have their baby on their chest so fast.
Sweet sweet baby sounds! Music to my ears. I love the grunts, the sighs, the squeeks, even the screams! It means that he is alive and has good strong lungs!
Fuzzy is so cute I could just eat him up! Not really, but I love to kiss him! I could smother him with my kisses!! THIS is love :)

He is so beautiful! I hope we get to see him soon, but I'm afraid holding a sweet brand new baby will make me want another....

SOOO darling! Congrats! How are you feeling? How are you doing???
He is so handsome! Thanks for describing him and for the reminder of how special these little ones truly are. They are true gifts from God.
I hope you're feeling okay and getting some sleep. :)
Oh man! Now I want another baby! Everything you said is SO true. Those first few weeks are soo fleeting and precious. He really is adorable. He's lucky to have a Mom who loves him so much.
