Christmas traditions

We have many Christmas traditions that we enjoy every year. We like to get a real tree because we love the smell and it is fun to pick it out. Every year since I was little girl, we got an ornament for Christmas. My wonderful Mom has tried to pick something significant during the year to commemorate with our ornaments. Last year we went to Disneyland, so we all got Disney ornaments. I have a few nurse ornaments from when I graduated from nursing school, Ry has one that looks like the Muppet scooter since that was his nickname in high school, our tree is covered with memories, and I love it! It is fun to reminisce and remember the reason behind the specific ornaments. Peachy enjoyed helping with the lights.

My sweet family. I love you guys!
I duplicated this picture, but I can't figure out how to remove it, so here it is again....

Every year, we go see Christmas lights. Peanut LOVES being cold, so he had a great time, but my little Beanie doesn't enjoy the cold so much, so he wanted to be finished after 10 minutes.

Peachy enjoyed to lights and seemed to have a good time also, she was squealing and laughing the whole time.
On Christmas eve, my family gets together to open jammies and read some Christmas stories. My Dad reads "Twas the night before Christmas" Peanut read "Three trees", and I read the Christmas story from St. Luke. We had lots of fun and it was nice to visit.I guess Peachy didn't want to be a present.
Christmas morning brought lots of snow and some fun gifts. Beanie got an indoor trampoline. Maybe now he will stop jumping on the couch and beds!!
Peachy enjoying her candy canes. She also got some fun blocks and books.Another fun tradition is that every year, Ry gets a Lego set. In recent years, he has gotten little cars and such, but this year Santa got him a cool Police set.
Peanut really enjoys science and reading, so he got a couple of really cool experiment books. A smelly lab, glow in the dark brain slime lab, a brain book, and a really fun robot. We have had a lot of fun doing experiments.

I got the best gift in the world, a guitar! I have wanted to learn to play the guitar for several years, and I now get to develop a new talent! I can play 6 chords so far, and am looking forward to taking lessons.
It is so fun to spend Christmas with our family. I was fortunate not to have to work this Christmas, and was excited to be able to spend the entire day together.
We have a really fun Christmas book that we read from, every night in the month of December. It has a Scripture about Jesus Christ, a Christmas song, and a short story. We enjoy the time we get to spend together as a family and learn about our Savior Jesus Christ and how he truly is the reason for the season. May we never ever forget!
