You know how car seats have those canopy things that raise and lower, provide shade, etc.? Yeah, I hate them. Ours was always getting in the way, and coming off, and making a loud clicking noise when it was moved.... Lately I have seen some super cute car seat tents around, and started looking for one. As it turns out, they were a lot more $$ than I wanted to spend, so I thought I would make one with some of my fabric that I just had laying around! My first one turned out OK, but I struggled with the velcro and buttons. I guess it will do, but it isn't wonderful or anything. I think the second one turned out a little bit better. I decided that instead of velcro, I would try just ribbon, not sure I like that either, but I like it better then the velcro! They took me about 2 hours from start to finish, I had lots of help from the little ones, but it saved me $40+ for each one! Peachy enjoyed having her "baby" in the car seat. I hope that she likes having a REAL one in there too!! Hopefully our little man will be here soon. My bags are packed, and everything is ready, so all I need is contractions that stick around for more than 4 hours!
