My reality

Do you remember "that girl" from high school?  You know the one.....  The really cute one with the red sports car, size 4 Girbaud jeans, a different ESPRIT bag for each day. (Wow, THAT dates me)  The one on the cheer squad AND the drill team.  Student Body Officer, Homecoming royalty, sterling scholar, she was in the band... oh wait I was in the band, so she must have been in the orchestra. You get the idea.  Well, now she is all grown up!  She is now "that mom" She drives brand spankin new Escalade and OF COURSE she is so much cuter now than in HS, she can fit into size zero designer jeans,  has the best husband and perfect kids.  You know the one, she gets up at 4 AM to run 15 miles, makes sure to be home before anyone else gets up so she can shower, make a gourmet sack lunch for the hubby, homemade cookies for the kids.....  All her adorabe kids wear designer duds, even to preschool. Her little girl never wears anything but boutique clothing and ginormous  bows bigger than her head in her perfectly coifed hair.  She has plenty of time to have a spotless home filled with professional looking homemade decorations.  Vinyl on every wall, scrapbooks all caught up, and in her spare time she volunteers at numerous homeless animal shelters.  Yeah, that one.  I aspire to be just like her..... NOT.
This is MY reality.  90% of the time my kids have serious bed head hair and they are either wet, mostly naked with ONE shoe on, in their jammies in the afternoon, or covered in sand, mud, chalk, paint or food!  I LOVE these kids  :)  Do they look deprived? Or just happy?
Rest assured that "that girl/mom" is not ACTUALLY a real person........... ;)  Or is she?
